Have you ever thought of using Binary Defender consistently within a month just to see its full potential.
Also Fury is my favorite software at the moment and I think Defender can probably perform better.
On second thought never mind I just realised there’s a history.
John, are people getting alerts today? I had my MT4 open all day, and never got an alert. But I could see that there were winning trades. I checked everything and tested my sms, checked my platform. It worked just fine the first day I got it, but now no alerts. Have you noticed anyone else? Usually it will ring when a trade comes in on my platform and then I will get a text, but nothing.

John, I too noticed that whilst I do well with the BD and it’s indicators, I seem to be getting only about 4 a day here in Sydney Australia. You mentioned turning off the news filters , how do you do that juts to see if I get more ???
Also how do I get a text as never had that set up for me ???
Appreciate your honesty, and have done ok so far with BD, I notice if you don’t get to place the trade quickly sometimes after hearing the signal indicator , that you possibly will enter at a rate not suitable and lose the trade, so using Meta trader as my guide, I wait within the first 5 minutes if it has moved too far as often the rate will go back to where it started and then I place the trade, and thankfully finding good results in doing it that way
Hi Alan, good to hear your experiences. You can right click on the chart go to indicators list and edit your news filter preferences there. As for text messaging, you will want to go to the bottom of the members area and read their guides.

Just got the Defender installed and downloaded the MT4 and got it authenticated. I’ve read the instructions on the Defender site about setting up email alerts, but when I run the test on the email alert it fails. I even set up a new gmail account just for alerts and have it forwarded to my personal gmail account. Should the SMTP server be smtp.gmail.com? Are there clearer instructions on how to set up the email alerts on MT4? Also are there special instructions on setting up Trade Alerts on MT4 or do they come automatically?

Thanks. I found my problem. I misspelled smtp for one thing. Then I had to unlock the security on my gmail account to allow a less secure site. It works!
